DRCC Presents: THE ERIE SITUATION
Join our member organization, Detroit River Canadian Cleanup, on Thursday, February 16th at 7pm for a free screening of THE ERIE SITUATION at the Imagine Lakeshore Cinemas, 164 Commercial Blvd, Tecumseh, ON.
The Erie Situation is a film about the toxic mix of big agriculture, politics and water security rights. In addition to toxic algal blooms, The film also examines pertinent questions about water security, big agriculture, citizen advocacy, runoff of forever chemicals and sustainable farming.

Talking Trash: An Interactive Discussion Inspired by The Plastic Bag Store
Join us for an evening with The U-M Museum of Art, U-M Arts Initiative, the Graham Sustainability Institute, and UMS for an evening designed to share diverse perspectives & empower individual action.
Detroit River Coalition founder, Genevieve Rattray, and member, Hannah Tizedes, will be offering their expertise and thoughts as they “talk trash” and discuss the roles individuals, businesses and governments can play in addressing the issues surrounding single-use plastics.

Detroit Riverfront Clean-up
Join OAC staff to help keep our Detroit Riverfront area clean, beautiful, and safe for people and wildlife! We're partnering with the Great Lakes Educators of Aquatic and Marine Sciences (GLEAMS) and the Alliance for the Great Lakes on a region-wide Great Lakes shoreline and beach cleanup effort. Our efforts will focus on the Milliken State Park portion of the Detroit Riverwalk. Clean-up equipment will be provided, but please plan to bring your own water bottle. BOGO admission to the OAC will be provided to participants to be used that day or a later date. Meet at the front entrance of the Outdoor Adventure Center along the Dequindre Cut.

Detroit River Evening
The 11th annual Detroit River Evening will be hosted virtually on September 14 2022 from 6pm to 7:30pm. Guests will hear updates on the Remedial Action Plan, our updated work plan to meet those goals and preview the 2021/22 annual report. The virtual event is free and registration is required

Ecorse Creek Committee Cleanup
Join the Ecorse Creek Committee at Pepper Park (Ecorse), Council Point Park (Lincoln Park) or Beaver Park (Wyandotte) . Cleanups will take place in July, August & September from 9 am-noon. A lunch will be provided in September to celebrate the cleanup season!
